Junior Club

At the Auckland Chess Centre, we run a Junior Club usually on Saturdays from 5:00pm to 6:15pm.

The Junior Club is aimed at junior and newer players who are interested in chess. The games tend to be fast and exciting. Good for players who just want to play for fun.

We start our sessions at 5:00pm, usually beginning with a short study tutorial (around 25 mins), then we will do practice until around 6:15pm.

There’s a playlist of our lecture recordings (only some are recorded), if you’re new to our club or are interested here it is: ACC Junior Club Lecture Recordings: Link

Please reserve your spot in our club sessions here via Trybooking ($40/term): https://www.trybooking.com/nz/VML

Disclaimer: Our tickets (for our junior club registration via Trybooking) are NOT refundable. If you would like to try out our sessions, that is totally fine, but if you register a ticket from Trybooking, we don’t give refunds if you suddenly don’t want to come any more. There are no discounts or any haggling for our weekly event. Sorry for any inconvenience caused.

***Due to chess events held at the chess centre, there are some sessions which are run on a Friday at 5pm to 6:15pm instead of a Saturday.

If you’re new to our event, please txt Alex at O21-O543891 (TXT ONLY) before coming along for the first time. This helps me to know how many people we are expecting, so we can arrange the pairings easier.

Please becareful about parking outside of the venue when there is a special event happening at Eden Park, you could be ticketed for a fine of $40, or up to $260. I suggest to park inside our carpark area, or park on nearby streets that does not display a pink sticker (a pink sticker means the whole road cannot be parked).
